Your dog can help find lost people
A good SAR dog is sturdy, rugged, and
comfortable in woods, field, and water,
in all weather conditions. In addition,
dogs must be well-socialized to other
dogs and people and trained for basic
obedience.

Even if you don't have a dog...
Even more importantly, we're looking for
a few good volunteers. We need dog
handlers and support volunteers. Anyone
who loves dogs and the woods and enjoys
being part of a team has potential.
Volunteers must be moderately fit,
emotionally stable, an enthusiastic team
player, and able to accept constructive
criticism.
Do you have land where we can
practice?
In addition, we are constantly on the
lookout for new places to practice.
Farms and woodlands are ideal. We are
especially interested in sites in North
Central Pennsylvania. Please contact us
if you have land where we could
practice.
