From Danville: Take Rt 11 South to
Northumberland. In town, Rt 11 will
turn left, follow to light. Continue
straight through light, which will
be Rt.147 South. Cross 2 river
bridges and come to a traffic light.
Turn Left onto Shikellamy Road.
Follow to end,about a half mile,
(toward the mountain) and bear left
on to Mile Post road. Continue up
this road for a couple of miles
(note: there is a very sharp curve
about
half way up.) till you come to a
marked intersection.
At intersection turn right onto Mt.
Pleasant road. Go to end. When you
come to the end of the road, (you
will see Agusta township fire hall
off
to the right). Straight in front of
you will be a dirt road (next to
double arrow sign), this is the
entrance to the property. Just
follow
the dirt road down the hill till you
see a building, that's where we
will be.
From I-180: Take I-180 south to Rt.
147 south to Northumberland. Follow
directions above from Rt 147 South.
From Lewisburg: Follow 15 South to
Northumberland to Rt. 147 South.
Then
follow directions above.
Proceed on 220 north to the stop
sign in Hughesville. Turn left (you
are still on 220 north). Go across
the bridge on Muncy Creek, and take
the first right onto Beaver Lake
Rd. Go approx. 1.5 miles and turn
left onto Barto Hollow Rd. (Caution
-- there is a sharp right hand turn
after turning onto Barto Hollow
Road.) Go approx. 1.6 miles to a
fork in the road -- stay left.
Proceed .9 mile to an old wooden
bridge. Just beyond is a white
house on the right. At the chicken
coop at the end of the yard you will
see a road/driveway, turn there. Go
until you come to a clearing, bear
to the right at the small building.
Continue over to the pavilions to
park. Congratulations, you've made
it!!!
From I-180 take the Turbotville Exit
onto Rt. 54 East.
Go 1.1 miles and turn left onto
Warrior Run Blvd.
Go .6 miles to the Stop Sign then go
straight for .7-1/2 miles.
Parking is on the left. Park very
close to each other in order
to fit as many vehicles into the
parking area as possible.
From Rt. 147, take the Mahoning
St. exit (Rt. 642) west into
Milton. Go about .6 mile and
turn right onto Brown Ave.
(If you get to the Weis Market,
you've gone about one block too
far. Turn around and go back to
turn left onto Brown Ave.)
Drive up the big hill and at the
bottom of the other side you'll
see Brown Park on your right.
Look for us way in the back
beyond the pavillions.
From Rt. 15, take the Milton
exit (Rt. 642) east into
Milton. Drive about 1.4 miles,
going over the Susquehanna River
Bridge, continuing across Rt.
405, over the railroad tracks,
and up a slight hill. You'll
see the Weis Market on your
left, and just a short distance
beyond is Brown Ave. Turn left
onto Brown Ave. Drive up the big
hill and at the bottom of the
other side you'll see Brown Park
on your right. Look for us way
in the back beyond the
pavillions.
Brown's Tree Farm Road
(Moreland Twp., North of
Clarkstown)
Take I-80 to the Rt. 405 exit at
Muncy. Go North on Rt. 405 to the
intersection at the Hull's Landing
Restaurant. Go straight through the
red light, onto Rt. 442 for 6.6
miles. You’ll know you’re on the
right road as you go through
Clarkstown, past a shopping center
on your left and past the Clarkstown
Fire House also on your left. At
the 6.6 mile mark from the
intersection at Hull’s Landing, turn
LEFT on Moreland Baptist Road, which
will go up a hill. At the T, stay
right. Follow the road all the way
to the tree farm which is about 8.4
miles from the Hull’s Landing red
light. There are signs posted “do
not trespass,” and in little letters
it says Brown’s Tree Farm. We will
be on the left side of the road.
There is a parking area.
Behind Fire Hall --
Take I-80 to the Rt. 405 exit at
Muncy. Go North on Rt. 405 to
the
intersection at the Hull's
Landing Restaurant. Go straight
through the
intersection, onto Rt. 442.
Follow Rt. 442 into Clarkstown.
There will be a shopping center
on your left and another mile
beyond will be the Fire House on
the Left. Go down the driveway
on the right behind the
firehouse to park.
Woods --
Follow the directions above to
the Fire Hall. Continue North
past the Fire Company. Take the
next left turn between the house
and the red barn (look for
signs). Follow the road past
the field and into the woods.
Elimsport State Game Lands
Original Site --
From Lewisburg or I-80 -- Take Route
15 going north, turn west at the
light in Allenwood onto Route 44.
Follow Rt 44 to the stop sign (stop
except right turn) and go straight
2.8 miles past the stop sign to
Alvira Road. Turn right, go 2.5
miles past the utility garage that
sits on the right, then a pond on
the right, and look for the cars in
a parking area on left.
From Williamsport -- Take Route 15
going south to the traffic light at
54 & 554. Turn Right and go 5.2
miles to Alvira road. Turn left.
Go 2.5 miles past the utility garage
that sits on the right, then a pond
on the right, and look for the cars
in a parking area on the left.
Church Site --
From
Wiliamsport - South on Rt15 to
traffic light at 54 & 554.
Turn RIGHT at light onto 554
towards Elimsport. travel 2.1
miles to a sharp left hand
curve. Go another 0.1 mile and
the main road makes a sharp
right. Do not continue
on main road - go straight.
At the Methodist Church turn in
and go to the back of the
cemetary to parking lot. The
church is on Ridge Road.
Gray's Run
South --
From Williamsport take 180 West to
15 North.
15 North approx 13 miles to Trout
Run exit (Route 14)
Route 14 (straight off exit)
Go approx. 3.3 miles to Lower Grays
Run Road ( left turn past Paradise
Truss Co.)
Travel 2.2 miles to crossroads just
over small bridge.
Turn LEFT onto South Grays Run Road
(dirt road)
Drive straight .2 miles ignoring the
STOP DEAD sign
Turn left on to grass road and bear
left several yards to camp area.
STRIKE signs will be posted at Lower
Grays Run Road, South Grays Run Road
and the camp site turn.
North --
Follow the directions above to the
small bridge where there is an
intersection. Turn RIGHT and
proceed approximately 3/10 mile to a
small parking area on the Right
(Parking area is like Spruce Run's,
a flat space on the side of the
road). STRIKE signs will be posted.
Green Cabin --
Follow the directions for "North"
above, but continue along past the
small parking area. It's quite a
ways down, just beyond a little
bridge, you'll find a green cabin on
the left. You can turn on the road
the other side of the cabin and park
anywhere there.

Allenwood
From the North
Follow Rt. 15 South through
Williamsport and South Williamsport.
At the bottom of the big hill you
will come to the intersection of Rt.
15 and Rt. 54. Continue on Rt. 15
for 5.1 miles. You will pass
Reptileland on your left and Purity
Candy on your right. Turn Left into
“Great Stream Commons” which is a
new business development. Continue
straight all the way to the end of
the road.
From the South
Follow Rt. 15 North to the
intersection with Rt. 44 in
Allenwood. Continue on Rt. 15 for
.8 miles (just less than a
mile). You’ll see the Eye Surgical
Center on your right and just after
that is the right turn into “Great
Stream Commons.” Continue straight
all the way to the end of the road.
Take Rt. 405 into Hughesville. Go
to the Red Light at the Uni-Mart.
Turn onto the street next to the
Uni-Mart. Go one Block and the fire
company is on your left.

Continue on Rt. 405/220 to Picture
Rocks.
In Picture Rocks watch for the
hardware store on the right, turn
left onto Rt. 864.

At the top of the hill there is a

Turn right onto Dutchtown Rd.
Pass through a small development,
pass Burns Rd. on the left,
pass Bible Baptist Church on the
left.
Turn left on next road, Dunwoody
Road.
Go .9 miles to small Tiadaghton
State Gamelands sign on right.

Jerseytown State Gamelands
(Chuck's)
The location is State Game Lands 226
near Chuck's Archery. You take 180 to 54
South to 44 East. Go through Exchange
and White Hall and take a left on on
School House Road, which is a dirt road.
In about a half mile or so, you will
come to an intersection, with a road
coming in from the right, a road
dropping steeply to the left and a road
in front of you. Go straight, in less
than a half mile, when the road
branches, stay left of the farm. Head
for the signs that indicate State Game
Lands and/or Chuck's Archery. The
parking area is about a quarter mile
down the road.

Take I-180 to the Hughesville Exit

red light. Turn right onto Penn

Pool). Bear to the left of parking
area and park in grass by the
woods. Footbridge leads into the
park. The Pavillion reserved for
STRIKE K-9 is to the left.

to find. Roads in this area are often
unmarked or worse, marked differently
from the map to the road, from one end
of the road to the other, and from one
map to the next. Listen: PRINT OUT A
MAP! Follow it as if you were in the
woods and had to figure out a web of
unmarked trails!
From Muncy: Take the Muncy-Exchange road
southeast along the ridgetop (see North
Mountain 20 miles to your north - we
searched there in November 2000). At
Fairview Church bear left at the fork
onto Fairview Road. Follow this road
downhill to the intersection with
Walburn Road. Turn left, look for
parking area on the left.
From Route 54: Take Route 44 South (or
East) through the little village of
Exchange. Go Left onto Fairview Road.
Look for parking area on the right.

Mooresburg (if roads are poorly marked,
its the first right in the small village
of Mooresburg - choose the road that
goes towards the ridgetop).
Turn Left at the top of the ridge
Turn right onto the dirt road at the
State Game Lands sign.
From the South - Take Route 11 North
towards Danville.
Take a left onto Bald Top Road. If you
drive past the American Legion (with the
military gear on the lawn), you've gone
too far.
Follow winding Bald Top Road to Left

Take Interstate 180 to the Rt. 54

intersection with Warrior Run Blvd.
Turn left and drive about 3 more
miles, all the way to the top of the
hill. At the top of the hill, at
the 4-way intersection, turn right
onto North Bend Road. Go about 1/4
mile and park near the 911
Communication Tower.
New Farm:
Same as above, but park on the left
before going up the hill.
Old Farm:
Same as above, but turn right at the
mailbox and go down the driveway.
Drive past the house, park down the
hill at the wood line.

Take Route 180 to Route 405
West/South to Muncy.
At the stop light, turn Left onto
Main Street.
Turn Left on New Street.
Follow New Street about a mile, make
sure you stay to the left when the
road bends.
Pass under Route 180 and take the
first right at Muncy-Exchange Road.
Drive another mile and look for a
mailbox on the right with #996 and
an OWL on it.
Turn right into the driveway.
Riverfront Park,
Montoursville
FROM the East (Milton, Turbotville,
Muncy, Pennsdale): Take I-180 West
to the Montoursville, PA 87 exit,
which is also the exit to the
regional airport. Turn south
towards Montoursville, following
signs to the airport. Follow this
road, Loyalsock Ave., about 1.3
miles past Wal-Mart, past Lowe’s,
past Indian Park to the traffic
light at Broad Street in
Montoursville. Turn RIGHT. Go past
the Sunoco station on the left, over
the bridge and through the traffic
light at Warrensville Rd. Continue
straight to the next traffic light
at the Super 8 Motel. Turn LEFT
onto Old Montoursville Road. Follow
this curvy road about .8 mile and
look for the yellow gates on the
left. Turn LEFT into Riverfront
Park.
From Williamsport (West): Take
I-180 East and take Exit 23B, the
Montoursville/ Warrensville Rd.
Exit. At the first traffic light
just past the Super 8 Motel,
turn RIGHT onto Old Montoursville
Road. Follow this curvy road about
.8 miles and look for the yellow
gates on the left. Turn LEFT into
Riverfront Park.
The address is 266 Route 118
Highway. It's just outside of
Hughesville.
Take Rt. 15 North from Williamsport
to the Troute Run (Rt. 14) exit.
Continue straight on Rt. 14 for
approximately 2-3/4 to 3 miles. At
the bottom of a small hill is a
wooden sign on the right hand side
of the road. The sign says "Camp
Susqua" and points to the right.
There is a road (Susqua Road) on the
right. Pull into the beginning of
the road and make a "U" turn. Go
left out of Susqua Road and as you
start back up the hill there is a
Beige split level house. Right
beside that house driveway is our
driveway which goes downhill towards
the house. The house number
is 2818.
Shikellamy Lookout State Park
Take 180/147 south to Right on Route 11
South in Northumberland. Cross the
bridge across the West Branch of the
Susquehanna River. Take a right at
County Line Road, the first hard road on
the right. Follow the signs for
Shikellamy State Park; climb hill to
parking area at the top.
