We train Strike K-9 search and rescue dogs to put their amazing sense of smell to good use. Our dogs learn to find people lost in the woods. We respond to requests for help in locating lost hunters, hikers, children, and elderly people.

Pennsylvania is a great place to get lost.

Based in Central Pennsylvania, STRIKE K-9 is non-profit and affiliated with the Pennsylvania Search and Rescue Council (PSARC). Our volunteers are certified by Pennsylvania's Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). Our search and rescue dogs are available for dispatch every day of the year, 24 hours a day, in all weather conditions.

Wow! A highlight of our four days of training at SAR-EX this year was to experience the sounds and feel of the helicopter's landing and rotors in motion. It was a thrilling opportunity for many of us, especially our dogs.

Mission Statement

STRIKE K-9's mission is to train, equip, and mobilize personnel for the purpose of saving lives. We work cooperatively with emergency services and law enforcement agencies in the location of missing persons. We provide community education on the topics of Wilderness Safety and Disaster Preparedness.
